As a result of the growing increase of teenagers becoming diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, many parents and others that work and/or live with this age group are interested in learning more about teens ADHD. This medical condition has been identified as the single most common medical condition among individuals up to eighteen years of age.

Up to an amazing 10% of all teenagers in the world today suffer from this condition. In many instances, a teenager that has the condition was diagnosed as a child. In other cases, the condition becomes more evident during the teen years.

If you suspect that your teenager is suffering from teens ADHD, it is important to ensure that there are no other medical issues that could be contributing to the symptoms that you are observing. Apart from the previously mentioned symptoms, there are other symptoms associated with teens ADHD. Many teens will exhibit signs of restlessness and distractibility. There are those that will seem to experience difficulties with sleeping disorders such as insomnia.

Examples include increased hormonal activity in the body as well as drug use. The best way to confirm a diagnosis is to discuss having your teen evaluated by their doctor or a specialist in the field of teens ADHD.
