Eczema

Eczema is a common skin allergy that is often discovered in children. However, many adults also suffer from this condition. Typically, a certain area of the skin will start to itch and the sufferer of the condition will scratch that area.

When this occurs, a severe rash will often appear. This means that the rash may become evident on just about any part of the body. It is, of course, red and other starts to flake. Many individuals will experience a type of oozing. In severe cases, it is not at all uncommon to experience blisters.

Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is considered to be the next most common type of skin allergy. In order for an individual to suffer from this particular condition, their skin must come in contact with a product that causes irritation. These substances may include various types of household cleaners, cosmetics, soap products, and medications used on the skin.

The rash is usually local to where the contact was made. Typically, it is red, raised, and possibly even displays signs of inflammation. If you are concerned that you may suffer from one of the many skin allergies, you should make an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible.
